1I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. It had writing on both sides and was sealed with seven seals. 2Then I saw a mighty angel who proclaimed in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to examine it. 4I shed many tears because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to examine it. 5One of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. The lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has triumphed, enabling him to open the scroll with its seven seals.” 6Then I saw standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and the elders a Lamb that seemed to have been slain. He had seven horns and seven eyes; these are the [seven] spirits of God sent out into the whole world. 7He came and received the scroll from the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. 8When he took it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones. 9They sang a new hymn: “Worthy are you to receive the scroll and to break open its seals, for you were slain and with your blood you purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue, people and nation. 10You made them a kingdom and priests for our God, and they will reign on earth.”

1Psalm 149 Praise God with Song and Sword - Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful. 2Let Israel be glad in its maker, the people of Zion rejoice in their king. 3Let them praise his name in dance, make music with tambourine and lyre. 4For the LORD takes delight in his people, honors the poor with victory. 5Let the faithful rejoice in their glory, cry out for joy on their couches, 6With the praise of God in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hands, 9To execute the judgments decreed for them— such is the glory of all God’s faithful. 8Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as on the day of Massah in the desert.

41As he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, 42saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. 44They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

22And now, bless the God of all, who has done wonders on earth; Who fosters growth from the womb, fashioning it according to his will! 23May he grant you a wise heart and abide with you in peace; 24May his goodness toward Simeon last forever; may he fulfill for him the covenant with Phinehas So that it may not be abrogated for him or his descendants while the heavens last.

2Every day I will bless you; I will praise your name forever and ever. 3Great is the LORD and worthy of much praise, whose grandeur is beyond understanding. 4One generation praises your deeds to the next and proclaims your mighty works. 5They speak of the splendor of your majestic glory, tell of your wonderful deeds. 6They speak of the power of your awesome acts and recount your great deeds. 7They celebrate your abounding goodness and joyfully sing of your justice. 8The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. 9The LORD is good to all, compassionate toward all your works. 10All your works give you thanks, LORD and your faithful bless you. 11They speak of the glory of your reign and tell of your mighty works,

11As he continued his journey to Jerusalem, he traveled through Samaria and Galilee. 12As he was entering a village, ten lepers met [him]. They stood at a distance from him 13and raised their voice, saying, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!” 14And when he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” As they were going they were cleansed. 15And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; 16and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritan. 17Jesus said in reply, “Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? 18Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?” 19Then he said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has saved you.”
