14Seek good and not evil, that you may live; Then truly the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim. 15Hate evil and love good, and let justice prevail at the gate; Then it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will have pity on the remnant of Joseph. 21I hate, I despise your feasts, I take no pleasure in your solemnities. 22Even though you bring me your burnt offerings and grain offerings I will not accept them; Your stall-fed communion offerings, I will not look upon them. 23Take away from me your noisy songs; The melodies of your harps, I will not listen to them. 24Rather let justice surge like waters, and righteousness like an unfailing stream.

7II - “Listen, my people, I will speak; Israel, I will testify against you; God, your God, am I. 8Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you, your burnt offerings are always before me. 9I will not take a bullock from your house, or he-goats from your folds. 10For every animal of the forest is mine, beasts by the thousands on my mountains. 11I know every bird in the heights; whatever moves in the wild is mine. 12Were I hungry, I would not tell you, for mine is the world and all that fills it. 13Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of he-goats? 16III - But to the wicked God says: “Why do you recite my commandments and profess my covenant with your mouth? 17You hate discipline; you cast my words behind you!

18He willed to give us birth by the word of truth that we may be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

28The Healing of the Gadarene Demoniacs. When he came to the other side, to the territory of the Gadarenes, two demoniacs who were coming from the tombs met him. They were so savage that no one could travel by that road. 29They cried out, “What have you to do with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the appointed time?” 30Some distance away a herd of many swine was feeding. 31The demons pleaded with him, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of swine.” 32And he said to them, “Go then!” They came out and entered the swine, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea where they drowned. 33The swineherds ran away, and when they came to the town they reported everything, including what had happened to the demoniacs. 34Thereupon the whole town came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him they begged him to leave their district.
