1Israel is a luxuriant vine whose fruit matches its growth. The more abundant his fruit, the more altars he built; The more productive his land, the more sacred pillars he set up. 2Their heart is false! Now they will pay for their guilt: God will break down their altars and destroy their sacred pillars. 3For now they will say, “We have no king! Since we do not fear the LORD, the king—what could he do for us?” 7Samaria and her king will disappear, like a twig upon the waters. 8The high places of Aven will be destroyed, the sin of Israel; thorns and thistles will overgrow their altars. Then they will cry out to the mountains, “Cover us!” and to the hills, “Fall upon us!” 12“Sow for yourselves justice, reap the reward of loyalty; Break up for yourselves a new field, for it is time to seek the LORD, till he comes and rains justice upon you.”

2Sing praise to him, play music; proclaim all his wondrous deeds! 3Glory in his holy name; let hearts that seek the LORD rejoice! 4Seek out the LORD and his might; constantly seek his face. 5Recall the wondrous deeds he has done, his wonders and words of judgment, 6You descendants of Abraham his servant, offspring of Jacob the chosen one! 7II - He the LORD, is our God whose judgments reach through all the earth.

15“This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” The Call of the First Disciples.

1Then he summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness. 2The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus; 4Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him. 5The Commissioning of the Twelve. Jesus sent out these twelve after instructing them thus, “Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town. 6Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
