12Habakkuk’s Second Complaint - Are you not from of old, O LORD, my holy God, immortal? LORD, you have appointed them for judgment, O Rock, you have set them in place to punish! 13Your eyes are too pure to look upon wickedness, and the sight of evil you cannot endure. Why, then, do you gaze on the faithless in silence while the wicked devour those more just than themselves? 14You have made mortals like the fish in the sea, like creeping things without a leader. 15He brings them all up with a hook, and hauls them away with his net; He gathers them in his fishing net, and then rejoices and exults. 16Therefore he makes sacrifices to his net, and burns incense to his fishing net; For thanks to them his portion is rich, and his meal lavish. 17Shall they, then, keep on drawing his sword to slaughter nations without mercy? 1I will stand at my guard post, and station myself upon the rampart; I will keep watch to see what he will say to me, and what answer he will give to my complaint. 2God’s Response - Then the LORD answered me and said: Write down the vision; Make it plain upon tablets, so that the one who reads it may run. 3For the vision is a witness for the appointed time, a testimony to the end; it will not disappoint. If it delays, wait for it, it will surely come, it will not be late. 4See, the rash have no integrity; but the just one who is righteous because of faith shall live.

8III - The LORD rules forever, has set up his throne for judgment. 9It is he who judges the world with justice, who judges the peoples with fairness. 10The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. 11Those who know your name trust in you; you never forsake those who seek you, LORD. 12IV - Sing hymns to the LORD enthroned on Zion; proclaim his deeds among the nations! 13For the avenger of bloodshed remembers, does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

10but now made manifest through the appearance of our savior Christ Jesus, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

14When they came to the crowd a man approached, knelt down before him, 15and said, “Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic and suffers severely; often he falls into fire, and often into water. 16I brought him to your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17Jesus said in reply, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him here to me.” 18Jesus rebuked him and the demon came out of him, and from that hour the boy was cured. 19Then the disciples approached Jesus in private and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” 20He said to them, “Because of your little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
