2Bless the LORD, my soul; and do not forget all his gifts,
3Who pardons all your sins, and heals all your ills,
4Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with mercy and compassion,
9He will not always accuse, and nurses no lasting anger;
10He has not dealt with us as our sins merit, nor requited us as our wrongs deserve.
11III - For as the heavens tower over the earth, so his mercy towers over those who fear him.
12As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our sins from us.

33Teaching About Oaths. “Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.’
34But I say to you, do not swear at all; not by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
35nor by the earth, for it is his footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
36Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
37Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more is from the evil one.
